McCOOK, Nebraska --Marcos Ivan Maldanado Gonzales, age 37, passed away May 7, 2012, at his home in McCook.

Ivan was born in Loc Temeychi Guerrero Chihuahua, Mexico, on Feb. 5, 1975, to Patricio and Bertha Alicia (Gonzalez) Maldonado-Rojo.

Ivan moved from Colorado to McCook in December of 2011 to begin work at the Ram's Horn Dairy. He enjoyed fishing, playing soccer and baseball. He also liked to sing.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Maldonado and three children, Marcos, Vanessa and Jennifer Maldonado, all of Mexico. Also surviving are his parents Patricio and Bertha Maldonado of Mexico; brothers, Luis Maldonado of Mexico, Jamie Maldonado of Phoenix, Arizona, and Noel Maldonado of Phoenix, Arizona; four sisters, Manuela Maldonado of Mexico, Bertha Maldonado of Mexico, Mary Maldonado of Loveland, Colorado, and Patricia Maldonado of McCook.

Ivan was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation will be May 10, 2012, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Ivan will be buried in his homeland of Mexico at a later date.
