Lee Ora Katherine Mockry

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Lee Ora Katherine Mockry, age 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6, 2012, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

She was born Dec. 24, 1917, on a farm north of Oberlin, Kansas, to Earl and Esta (Brown) Lawver. She attended Oberlin Public Schools.

On Sept. 13, 1934, she married Marion Mockry. They lived and farmed in the Cedar Bluffs-Traer area their entire married life. To this union two children were born, a son, Lee and a daughter, Jeannine.

Lee Ora attended the First Assembly of God Church most of her married life. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed cooking and visiting with guests at her table. If you dropped in unexpectedly, you might catch her singing or whistling one of her favorite hymns.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Esta Lawver; husband, Marion; son, Lee Mockry; grandson, Monty Mockry; great-grandson, Landen Reimer; brothers, Earl and Don Lawver; and sister, Betty Dugger.

Survivors include daughter, Jeannine Reynolds and husband, Stan of McCook; daughter-in-law, Sharon Mockry Stevenson and husband, Leroy of Cedar Bluffs; brother, Stan Lawver; sister, Mara Johnson and Al; grandchildren, Lyn and Marci Reynolds of Cedar Bluffs, Carli and Leonard Reimer of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Debbie and Gregg Thee of Moorhead, Minnesota, Paul and Kristine Reynolds of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ronda and Jeremy Pinkerman of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; great-grandchildren, Lyndsi and John Smith, Larissa and Jason Cockrell, Grant Reynolds, Stephen and Andrea Thee, Joyanna Reimer, Amber and Derick Lorentz, Shane and Tabitha Thee, Sarah Reynolds, Abby, Mia, and Sidny Pinkerman; great-great-grandchildren, Cadyn and Raegan Smith, Lailah and Elias Thee; lots of precious nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be given in her name.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, 2012, 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastors Leonard Reimer, Gregg Thee and Eddie McElhannon officiating. Burial will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 1 -- 8 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 7 p.m. with the family.
