OBERLIN, Nebraska -- Dottie Lotker, 87, of Oberlin, died April 30, 2012, at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.

She was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Plainfield, New Jersey to Eric and Edith (Williams) Forrester.

She attended Barringer High School and a trade school in New Jersey.

She resided in Bound Brook, New Jersey, New London, Connecticut and Oberlin, Kansas. She married Floyd Lee Lotker on June 16, 1943, in Plainfield.

She was a chemical laboratory assistant and homemaker. She was a member of the Monday Evening Club, Oberlin Easter Star, St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook, Oberlin Art Club, Hospital Guild and was a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eric and Edith Forrester and grandson, Jacob Wasson.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Lotker Jr. of Oberlin; son, Floyd "Skip" Lotker, III and wife, Soma of Redondo Beach California; daughters, Sherri Shuler of Oberlin, Laurie Wasson and husband, James, of Oberlin and Jackie Lotker-Myers and husband, Lynn Myers of Alliance, Nebraska; brothers, Roland and wife, Marge Forrester of Indianopolis, Indiana, and Bruce Forrester of Bonita Springs, Florida, sisters, Elaine Smith of Fort Myers, Florida; ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Services are Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Judi Stricker officating. Interment will be at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. until time of service, at Pauls Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to the Oberlin Library or the Decatur County Museum.
