BENKELMAN, Nebraska -- Mae Phifer, 84, a longtime resident of Benkelman, died Sunday (April 22, 2012), at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman.

Survivors include sons, Jerry and wife, Brenda Sanford of Holdrege, Nebraska, Steve and wife, Ricca Sanford of Lewellen, Nebraska; daughter, Jane and husband, John Ohrman of Benkelman; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. (M.T.) at Trinity Baptist Church in Benkelman, with the Rev. Paul Folk officiating. Inurnment will follow at Benkelman Cemetery.

There will be no visitation, as she chose cremation.

A memorial has been established in her memory
