NORTH PLATTE, Nebraska -- Robert F. Klemm, 78, of Lake Maloney, longtime North Platte businessman, passed away April 18, 2012, at his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1934, to Fredrick and Delia (Wittchow) Klemm at Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Bob grew up in Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School in 1952. He attended the University of Wisconsin and was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. In 1955, he joined the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1957. He returned to University of Wisconsin, where he completed his undergraduate degree and attended law school. He went to work for Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company as district manager. On Aug. 12, 1961, Bob was united in marriage to Rose Marie Plevak at South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He moved to Mid-Western Nebraska in 1970, where he owned and operated Arrowhead Distributing. Bob married Connie Nordbrock on Aug. 17, 2002, at Beaver Creek, Colorado. He was a member of Rotary International, North Platte Ambassadors, Eagles, Moose, American Legion, and was past president of the Nebraska Beer Wholesalers, and supporter of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of Lake Maloney; a son, Dr. Barrett (Brenda) Klemm of Lake Maloney; two daughters, Sarah (Dan) Spencer and Betsy (Steve) Burns both of Denver; stepchildren, Jeri (Terry Andrews) Nordbrock, Keri (John) Williamson both of Houston, Texas, and Marcia (Casey) Trego of North Platte; grandchildren, Eli and Elsa Spencer, Annabelle, Blake and Colton Burns; step grandchildren, Theodora Andrews, Emily, John and Elizabeth Williamson, and Chase and Carson Trego.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose; and step-daughter Shelly Nordbrock.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Presbyterian Church in North Platte. There will be private family graveside services prior to the services at the church. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, which is in charge of arrangements.
