John Robert Ham

TRENTON, Nebraska -- John Robert Ham, 67, died Wednesday (April 11, 2012), at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton, Nebraska.

He was born in Frontier County near Curtis, Nebraska on Oct. 5, 1944, to Robert B. and Charlotte May "Bill" (Mortimore) Ham. John graduated from Curtis High School in 1962. He participated in track.

John married Judith Gerkin. He farmed in Frontier County until his health problems forced him to leave the farm. John lived in Bartley, North Platte, Trenton Nebraska and Atwood, Kansas. He has been a resident at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton for the past eight years.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie and husband, Lynn Pyzer of North Platte; sons, Timothy J. Ham of Hershey, Nebraska; Joey T. LaGuardia of Stockville, Nebraska; mother, Charlotte "Bill" and husband, Glenn Haller of Atwood, Kansas three grandchildren and special caregiver and friend, Teri Ziegler of Atwood.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge, Nebraska with the Rev. Sherry Sklenar officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. at Arbor Cemetery in Stockville

Visitation will be Saturday, April 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.. The casket will be closed at the funeral service. Friends may view and leave condolences during visitation hours. Memorials may be left in John's name to the El Dorado Manor of Trenton, Nebraska.
