LAKEWOOD, Colorado -- Doris Lavonna Premer, 96, of Lakewood, died April 4. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Mountair Christian Church in Lakewood.

One of seven children, Doris Rosier was born in Wilcox, Nebraska, on Oct. 17, 1915. She married Harvey Premer in March 1937. She worked on the farm, in the grocery store with her husband, hung wallpaper, taught Sunday school, worked at Hancock Fabrics and JC Penney in Villa Italia.

Before Harvey's death in 1999, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and Vernon and sisters, Sylvia, Iva and Dorothy.

Survivors include sister, Eldora Allen and sister-in-law, Vesta Premer, both of Cambridge, Nebraska; daughters, Linda (Dale) Wilson of Lakewood; Lori (Steve) McColm of Arvada, Colorado; granddaughters, Leisa Austin (Doug Hardin) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; Katie (Roland) Moore of Arvada, Colorado; great-granddaughters, LaRee Hardin and Gracie Moore; step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Doris' greatest joy in life was her family.
