LINCOLN, Nebraska -- This fall, BryanLGH will adopt the name Bryan Health for the health system and Bryan Medical Center for the medical center in Lincoln.

"The health system has grown dramatically over the past 15 years. The name that will guide us into the future - Bryan Health - signifies 85 years of quality, excellence and innovation in health care. It speaks to the presence our health system now has throughout the Midwest and across the country and positions us for growth and success in a reformed health care environment," said Kimberly Russel, Chief Executive Officer. "It also reflects our commitment to be the community's chosen partner for a full spectrum of prevention, wellness, acute care and rehabilitation."

BryanLGH was formed in 1997, when two strong and recognized acute care hospitals -- Bryan Memorial Hospital and Lincoln General Hospital -- came together to form the health system and medical center.

This year, the 15th anniversary of that merger, will be spent honoring the legacy that has brought the health system to this point.

On its team, the health system has nearly 5,000 physicians, staff members and volunteers. BryanLGH is Lincoln's largest private employer.
