Doris Clare Marintzer

OBERLIN, Kansas -- Doris Clare (Janousek) Marintzer, 87, died Monday (March 19, 2012), at the Decatur Good Samaritan Society in Oberlin.

She was born April 23, 1924, near Herndon, Kansas, to Charles and Lydia Janousek.

She married Hubert W. Marintzer on June 10, 1947. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church in Herndon.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Pat Riener; three grandchildren; her parents; brothers, Rudolph, Raymond, Edward, Donald Francis (Chaz); and sister, Evelyn.

Survivors include her children, Damian and wife, Linda Marintzer, Connie and husband, Cecil Walker, Becky and husband, Stan Faimon, Vicky and husband, Charles (Bud) Mumm, Jon and wife, Cindy Marintzer, Lydia and husband, Steve Bryan, Chris and husband, Joe Halling and Luke Marintzer; and a sister, Laverne Niemeth of Herndon.

A Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church, Herndon, with the Rev. Nicholas Parker officiating. Interment is in the church cemetery in Herndon. A Parish Vigil and Christian Mother's rosary will be said this evening, 6 p.m. at the church.
