BROKEN BOW, Oklahoma -- Willie B. "Pete" Harris, formerly of McCook, Nebraska, of Broken Bow, died March 7, 2012, after an extended battle with cancer.
He was born April 9, 1943, in the Shults Community east of Idabel, Okalahoma.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and spent time in Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lottie (Barnes) Harris and brothers, Earl, Franklin, Hiram and William.
Survivors include sons, Damon Brian and families; brothers, Robert and wife, Jo of Rowlett, Texas, David and wife, Gwen of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Stanley and wife, Susan of Columbus, North Carolina and Larry and wife, Barbara of Yakima, Washington, sisters, Louise and husband, Dale Fields of Idabel, Lucile and husband, Darrel Banzhaf of McCook, Nebraska, Maxine and husband, Dwight Goodwin of Roby, Texas and Doris and husband, Fred Bray of Broken Bow; six grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Services were March 12, 2012, at the Bunch Singleton Funeral Home with Kenneth Sivard, officiating. Burial was at the Veteran's section of the Dennison Cemetery.
