OBERLIN, Nebraska -- Charles A. Haag, 92, died Wednesday (Feb. 22, 2012), at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
He was born Feb. 6, 1920, to Charles J. and Anna (Warner) Haag on the family farm near Lebanon, Nebraska.
He graduated from Lebanon High School and attended Kearney State College.
He was a member of the U.S. Army. He farmed on the family farm near Wilsonville, Nebraska and moved into Wilsonville in 1964.
He married Nadeane Pattison on Sept. 15, 1946.
He was a member of the Wilsonville American Legion, VFW Post 7719 and Wilsonville United Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nadeane; sister, Carolyn and brother, Donnie.
He is survived by his sons, Charles D. and Betsy Haag, of Oberlin, Gordon and Denise Haag of Hickman, Nebraska; daughters, Georgia and Dan Stahr of Malcolm, Nebraska and Carole Gaunt of McCook, Nebraska; sister, Betty Alexander Ehlers of Kearney, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were today at the United Methodist Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Linda Willey officiating. Interment was at the Wilsonville Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Charles A. Haag Memorial Fund.
