Property sale, contracts on agenda for special school board meeting
McCOOK, Nebraska -- A special meeting of the McCook School Board of Education will be Thursday, noon, at the McCook Junior High cafeteria.
The board will first meet in closed session to discuss the sale of two parcels of real estate: the former LIFT building on North U.S.Highway 83 and the bus barn location at Q Street.
After the closed session, the board will re-convene in an open meeting and be asked to approve Superintendent Grant Norgaard to enter into a contract to sell and close the sale of the former LIFT building on North U.S. Highway 83. The board will also be asked to approve the Superintendent to contract with Melanie Goodenberger of Golden Plains Realty to list the bus barn property.
Teacher salary negotiations with the McCook Education Association are still continuing. Members of the MEA requested more information on the agreement offered by the McCook School Board and a vote will be taken in the near future.
