OBERLIN,Kansas -- Lois Marie (Rezner) Carlson, 89. died Monday (Jan. 23, 2012), at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.

She was born Sept. 2, 1922, to Walter and Lela (Lemman) Rezner in Decatur County, Kansas. She was raised on the Decatur County farm and attended Decatur Community High School, graduating in 1940.

She married Elder Carlson April 7, 1946, in Oberlin.

She was a bookkeeper and a member of the Covenant Church, Covenant Women and Calico Girls.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Carlson, parents, Walter and Lela Rezner, brother, Wayne Rezner and four sisters, LeeOra Carlson, Alice May, Doris Stack and Kay Hartman.

Survivors include her daughter, Edith (John) Tate of Oberlin and two grandsons and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating.

Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Saturday, from 8 a.m. until service time, at the church.

Pauls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
