BEAVER CITY, Nebraska -- Sue Ellen Sims, 62, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Saturday (Dec.31, 2011), at her home in Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born April 2, 1949, at Maywood, Nebraska to James and Rosalie (Perkins) Embrey. She was born at her aunt's house in Maywood, Nebraska. Because of snow drifts the family couldn't get to the McCook Hospital. She was the last baby delivered by Dr. B. I. Mills. He was the same doctor who delivered her father, Jim in 1925.

Sue graduated from Greeley West High School in Greeley, Colorado with the Class of 1967. She moved to Beaver City, Nebraska the end of 2001 to help care for her father after his stroke that year.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sister, Jeanne and husband, Bill Graves of Richland, Washington; and her brother, Bradley Embrey and wife, Linda of Alexandria, Virginia.

No viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen.

Celebration of her life will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at the Brandin Iron Restaurant in Beaver City. The family request no flowers. Memorials may be given to the Beaver City Senior Center, or left atthe funeral home or at the Celebration of Life.
