GRINNELL, Kansas -- Leon R. Wolf, 63, died Wednesday (Dec. 21, 2011), at the Logan County Hospital in Oakley.

He was born Dec. 23, 1947, in Grinnell to Fred and Mary (Meerian) Wolf. He married Lynette Wahrman on June 2, 1973 in Herndon. He was a farmer/stockman and cattle buyer and U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jim.

He is survived by his wife Lynette (Wahrman), formerly of Herndon, of Grinnell; brothers Melvin (Marlene) of Grinnell, Richard (Karen) of Aurora, Colorado, Daryl (Jennie) of Monument, and Dwayne (Linda) of Grinnell; sisters, Luetta Kaiser (Jerry) of Hays, Mary Jean Overton (Alan) of Canton, and Bernice Rueschhoff (Mark) of Angelus; and sister-in-law, Elsie Wolf of Norton.

Funeral mass is at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec.26, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Grinnell. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25 at thee church parish center, with rosary/wake service at 7 p.m. Burialis at in Immaculate Conception Cemetery with military honors.
