OBERLIN, Kansas --Lyle Dean Gamblin, 78, of Oberlin, Kansas, died Saturday (Nov. 26, 2011) at the Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.

He was born Nov. 20, 1933, in Ludell,Kansas to Jess and Viola (Kreusch) Gamblin.

He was a farm laborer and resided in Atwood, Ludell, and Oberlin, Kansas.

In 1958 he married Leona Carlson. In 1970, he married Frieda Carlson.

He is preceeded in death by his parents; two wives; three brothers, Richard, Cletus and Norbert Gamblin; brother-in-law, Willard McFadden; and sister-in-law, Betty L. Gamblin.

Survivors include his son, Ronald D. Gamblin of Kansas; daughter, Louella Gamblin of Mulvane, Kansas; brother, James Ganblin, of Oberlin; sisters, Cordelia Lueders and husband, Alvin, of Omaha Nebraska, Barbara McFadden of Montrose, Colorado; and sister-in-law, Alvina Gamblin of Oberlin.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, 11 a.m., at the Oberlin Cemetery with the Rev. Charlotte Strecker-Baseler officiating.

There is no visitation.

Memorials may be given in his name.
