IMPERIAL, Nebraska -- Mary Louise (Eby) Brown, 74, of Imperial, Nebraska died Tuesday (Oct. 11, 2011) at Kearney Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born in Soldier, Kansas on Jan. 9, 1937. She was married to Anthon Brown on Nov. 24, 1954, seven children were born to this union: Rose, Anthony "Tony," Andrew "Andy," Timothy "Tim," Lori, Karen and Michael "Mike."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthon on June 17, 1967. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for McCook and surrounding hospitals. She received her LPN license and worked at the Imperial Manor for 12 years. Once retired, she moved to McCook, Nebraska before returning to Imperial.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, one sister, two grandsons and one daughter-in-law.

She is survived by one sister, seven children, 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood, Kansas, with the Rev. Nick Parker as celebrant. Interment will follow the service at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (Tully) in rural Atwood.

A family rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning before the funeral.

Memorials have been established in her name to the Big Bird Preschool in McCook and for Masses to the church.
