DRESDEN, Kansas -- John Michael Ritter, 54, of Dresden, died Monday (Oct. 3, 2011) at his residence.

He was born June 15, 1957 at Colby, Kansas to Vincent and Mary (Reinert) Ritter and lived in rural Dresden.

He attended Leoville Grade School, Hoxie High School and Northwest Kansas Vo-Tech in Goodland, Kansas.

After school, he farmed near Dresden.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Wilson.

Survivors include his parents, Vincent and Mary Ritter of Phillipsburg, Kansas; daughters Accalia and husband, Billy, Phillippi, of Kearney, Nebraska and Kalynn and husband, John Barnett of Manhattan, Kansas; brothers, Charles and wife Laura Ritter of Kansas City, Missouri, Joe Ritter of Goodland, Will and wife, Tina Ritter of Olathe, Kansas, Rick and wife, Lynette Ritter of Colby and Paul and wife, Kalyn Ritter of Monument,Kansas; sisters, Irene and husband, Steve Whorton of Topeka, Kansas, Doris and husband, Kevin Yonke of Holton, Kansas, Louise and husband, Randy Phillips of Lawrence, Kansas and Jayne and husband, Darryl of Phillipsburg; and four grandchildren.

A private family service will be conducted at the Dresden Cemetery by Chaplain John Paulson. A memorial fund has been established.

Paul's Funeral Home in Oberlin, Kansas is in charge of the arrangements.
