BIRD CITY, Kansas -- Rodney Lewis Partch, 90, died Thursday (Sept. 8, 2011), at Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman, Nebraska.

He was born June 13, 1921, in Bird City, Kansas.

He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Bette" (Petersen) Partch in 2009.

Survivors include a son, Ted Partch of Bird City; a daughter, Sue Laubham of Salina, Kansas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services are at 1:30 p.m., CDT, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Burial will follow at the Bird City Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday until 9 p.m., at Knodel Funeral Home in Bird City.

Memorials may be directed to the church food pantry or the Bird City Library.
