INDIANOLA, Nebraska -- Frederick L. Helm DVM, U.S. Army Colonel retired, died at his home in Hilo, Hawaii.

Funeral services are Friday, Aug. 12, 2 p.m., at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola, Nebraska. Inurnment is Aug. 19, 2011, at Punch Bowl Military Cemetery in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Visitation with family members is following services at the St. Catherine's Catholic Church hall.

The family has requested no flowers. Memorials may be made in his name.
