WAUNETA, Nebraska -- Lillian Elizabeth Wellman, 62, died July 10, 2011.

She was born Feb. 12, 1949, the daughter of Roy and Margaret Barkman Trudell, in Keene Valley, New York. She was baptized on April 17, 1949, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Malone, New York. She grew up in Saranac Lake, New York. She graduated from The College of St. Rose in Albany, New York with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in education.

She made public profession of her faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Barnhart, Missouri, where on Aug. 6, 1973, she married Keith Wellman; to this union three children were born.

She was active in her parishes in Wilmot and Millbank, South Dakota, Lexington, Missouri, Klickitat and Bingen, Washington, and finally rural Wauneta, Nebraska, where the couple had lived since 1999.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Rebecca.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Keith Wellman of Wauneta, two sons, Nathaniel Wellman of McCook, Nebraska, and Paul Wellman of Minden, Nebraska; three sisters, Anne Trudell of Peterborough, Ontario, Jeanne Fischer of Jupiter, Florida, and Carol Green of Baldwinsville, New York; six brothers, Steve Trudell of Scotia, New York, Mark Trudell of Southington, Connecticut, Gerry Trudell of Gansevoort, New York, Phillip Trudell of South Attleboro, Maine, Paul Trudell of Augusta, Georgia, and Eric Trudell of Alaska; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services are Thursday, 10 a.m. MDT, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of rural Wauneta with the Rev. David Kahle officiating. Interment is Friday, 11 a.m. CDT, at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Waco, Nebraska.

Visitation is Wednesday, 2--6 p.m. MDT, at the Liewer Funeral Home in Imperial, Nebraska.
