Keith E. Mannie
NORCATUR, Kansas -- Keith Edward Mannie, 33, died Saturday, July 2, 2011. He was a total cowboy from the minute he was born to when he left us as he was always wearing a hat, hangin' with cows and ridin' horses.
He lived and worked in the Norcatur, Kansas and Danbury, Nebraska area and acquired more than just friends - additional adopted family. He always loved being in a group of friends - no matter if they were working on broken down pickups, riding horses, raccoon hunting, farming or working cattle.
He would always give you a grin that could mean anything from happy to see you or "watch out, I'm gonna get you!" He was willing to help everyone with any project no matter how big or small whether you were a big kid or just a little tyke. He always had additional horses for people to ride even if it meant giving up his. You never knew what kind of adventure you would have, but you knew it would be VERY memorable!
One of his biggest prides other than horses, family and friends was that he was able to purchase a modest farmhouse and ranch to call his own. Although he didn't get a chance to finish his dream of starting his own family, he had adopted almost every friend and neighbor as his own.
Keith's strong dedication, love and kindness were felt by everyone in his life. He touched so many hearts throughout his life - no words can describe how dearly he will be missed!
Keith is survived by his parents, Ross and Sharon (Bachmeier) Mannie of Colorado; siblings, Kevin (Mike) Maxey of Washington, Crystal (Jeremy) Juhnke of Colorado; nieces and nephew, Alexis, Kehlsie, Jace, Addyson and Karen; paternal grandparents, Larry and Margaret (Opoien) Mannie, as well as many uncles, aunts and extended family. He has joined his maternal grandparents, Milton and Annie (Kraft) Bachmeier in heaven.
