NORCATUR, Kansas -- Alberta J. Daniels, 68, died Saturday (June 25, 2011) at Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas.

She was born Sept. 23, 1939, in Kremmling, Colorado, to Albert and Hester (Pierce) Pierce. She was raised in Denver, Colorado, and attended West High School and Denver University.

She lived in Denver, Las Vegas, Nevada, Fowler, Colorado, and Norcatur.

She married Donald Daniels on Aug. 17, 2002.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, Amaranth and Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Jamieson.

She is survived by her husband, Donald of Norcatur; daughters, Vickie and husband, Kevin Alexander of Bosque Farm, New Mexico, and Loretta Jamieson of Denver; daughter-in-law, Darlene Artis of Leoville, Kansas; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are Thursday, 11 a.m., at United Methodist Church in Norcatur with the Rev. Ed Woods officiating. Interment is in Norcatur Cemetery.

There is no visitation.
