OBERLIN, Kansas -- Harold A. Hill, 87, died May 24, 2011, at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.

He was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Piqua, Ohio, to George and Lillian (Reynolds) Hill. He was raised in Arkansas.

He married Erma Jean Baslin and they lived in Oberlin.

He worked as a gas station attendant and with the Pepsi Bottling Company.

He was a member of the United Church of Oberlin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Erma Jean Hill; and three siblings, Tony Hill, Carl Hill and Waunita Hughs.

Survivors include his son, Bobby Hill of Oberlin; daughter, Betty and husband, Dan Miller of Salina, Kansas; brother, Richard and wife, Maxine Hill of Norwich, Kansas; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services are Saturday, 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Bill Duncan officiating. Interment is in the Oberlin Cemetery.
