HAXTUN, Colorado -- Floyd Guy Gardner, 73, died Tuesday (June 7, 2011) in Haxtun.

He was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Curtis, Nebraska to Robert Guy and Margaret Evelyn (Floral) Gardner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Leona Gardner; and two brothers, Lyle Gardner and Larry Gardner.

Survivors include his sons, Bill Gardner of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bobby Gardner and wife, Amy of Dickens, Nebraska, and Mark Gardner of Curtis; daughters, Brenda Pieper and husband, Monty of Curtis, Rhonda Mathies and husband, Tom of Overton, Nebraska, Connie Kotschwar and husband, Tim of Minden, Nebraska, and Tammy Schmidt and husband, Mark of Curtis; brother, Ronnie Gardner and wife, Candy of Alamosa, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

Memorial services are Monday, 10 a.m., at Gerk Funeral Home in Haxtun with the Rev. Mark Phillips officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Haxtun Cemetery in Haxtun.

There is no visitation as cremation was chose.
