William Jeffries

WAUNETA, Nebraska -- William Jeffries died Sunday (May 22, 2011) at Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Imperial, Nebraska.

He was a long time resident of Wauneta and a officer of Chase County Veterans.

Survivors include his son, Dan of Wauneta; daughter, Kathy Crabbs and husband, William of Littleton, Colorado; sister, Nellie Rose Bishop and husband, John of Gilbert, Arizona; brother-in-law, Dale Bischoff of Wauneta; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are Friday, 10:30 a.m. MDT, at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Wauneta with the Rev. Greg Stuckwisch officiating.

There is no visitation as he chose cremation.

A private family inurnment at Riverside Cemetery will occur before services.

A memorial has been established to the Wauneta American Legion Post No. 304.
