Thomas Hilon Gass

CHEYENNE, Wyoming -- Thomas "Tom" "Tommy" Hilon Gass, 62, of Cheyenne, former resident and businessman of McCook, Nebraska, passed away on May 2, at University Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Thomas was born on April 3, 1949, in Sidney, Nebraska, the son of Bernard Hilon and Colleen Clare Gass.
He married Carol Lynn Hartman on Aug. 30, 1969, in Sidney. After serving in the U.S. Air and Army National Guard, he worked in the oil and gas industry for approximately 40 years.
Tom was an honorable man who loved his family very much. He was grateful to have such a loving wife and three beautiful daughters.
He loved to go hunting, camping and ride his ATV. Most of all, he loved spending precious moments with his two grandsons. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his mother, Colleen Gass of Sidney; his loving wife of 42 years, Carol Gass of Cheyenne; daughters, Jennifer Dianne Gass of Denver, Colorado, and Alison Lea and her husband, John Touchton of Port Allegany, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Morgin Mikell Touchton and Gavin Lee Touchton, both of Port Allegany; sisters, Terry and her husband, Mark Anthony of Monument, Colorado, and Gayle and her husband, the Rev. Alan Borcher of Riverton, Utah; brother, Larry Gass of Dickinson, North Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father; and a much loved daughter, Kimberly Ilene Gass.
Memorial services were Friday, May 6, 1 p.m., at Schrader Chapel with the Rev. Alan Borcher and Pastor Buddy Hanson officiating. A private family interment of the urn will take place in Sidney.
