McCOOK, Nebraska -- Randy Neal Callan, 55, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011.

Randy was born to Neal and Anita Callan, Nov. 8, 1955, in Alliance, Nebraska. He grew up and received his education in Alliance.

Randy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, golfing and cooking. Randy was a friend to everyone. He always found a way to help anyone in need, and loved taking care of his parents. His sense of humor and love for life will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Randy is survived by his son, Jeremy (Charmaine) Callan of Firestone, Colorado; father, Neal Callan of Alliance; brother, Ron (Cindy) Callan of Kearney, Nebraska; sister, Sandy (Mark) Hissam of Alliance; grandchildren, Judah and Grace Callan; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Diane Watkins; and other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his mother, Anita, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Brennemann and grandparents.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 12, at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with Pastor Lance Clay officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Neal Callan, 416 Lane 2, Alliance, NE 69301. A memorial will be established at a later date. Inurnment will follow in the Indianola Cemetery.
