HITCHCOCK COUNTY, Nebraska -- Theresa Louise Borges Schnoor, 46, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, in Hitchcock County.

She was born Nov. 11, 1964, in Grand Island, Nebraska. She is the daughter of Louis "Sonny" and Violet (Striker) Borges. Her early education was in Grand Island and continued in Phillips, Nebraska. She moved to Trenton, Nebraska in 1972 and at that time she adopted her step-father's name of Borges. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1983. She returned to Grand Island in 1984, where she began working at Wendy's and later at Kentucky Fried Chicken where she became manager.

At the time of her passing, she was employed at Walmart in McCook, Nebraska.

Theresa enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with her boys and enjoyed watching her sons play sports.

She is survived by her sons, John Viox Jr. and Jacob P. Viox of Trenton; parents, Louis "Sonny" and Violet Borges of Palisade, Nebraska; brothers, Terry Borges Schnoor of Grand Island, Martin Borges and wife, Becky of Grand Island, Bob Borges and wife, Dawn of Lincoln, Nebraska, Timothy Borges Schnoor of Trenton and Louis Borges II and wife, Samantha of Grand Island; sisters, Cindy Borges of Lincoln, Twilla Robinson and husband, Jim of Trenton and Tabetha Borges of Trenton; two half-brothers, R.T. Schnoor and Zion Schnoor, both of Crete, Nebraska; two nieces and three nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial services are Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Church of God in Trenton with Pastor Tim Roberts officiating.

Memorials may be given in her name and friends may sign her register at Herrmann Funeral Home in Trenton.
