Madlyn Larson

DENVER, Colorado -- Madlyn Lala Larson died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Porter Hospice Johnson Center in Denver.
She was born June 23, 1929, to Vernon and Lala Gregg in McCook, Nebraska. She graduated from McCook City Schools with the class of 1947.
She earned her RN license at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver in 1950, and began her nursing career as a surgical nurse at Weld County Hospital in Greeley, Colorado.
In 1952, she married Albert Gustav Larson and they settled in Ault, Colorado and Greeley, where they raised their family.
After serving at Weld County Hospital, she served as a nurse to Dr. Robert McDivitt. She then became a night charge nurse at Fair Acres Nursing Home before retiring.
She and her husband moved to Denver in 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Albert; son, Greg Larson; daughter, Jaylin Sale; brother, Donald Gregg; sister, Kathy Lampe; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services are Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Adamson's Mortuary, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO. Reception will follow.
