OBERLIN, Kansas -- Terry L. Black, 58, died Sunday (March 6, 2011), at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

He was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Oberlin to Carl and Darlene (Larson) Black. He was raised in Oberlin where he graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1970.

He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and lived in San Diego, California. Following his service he lived in McCook, Imperial and Enders, Nebraska, and Salina, Kansas, before moving to Oberlin.

He married Leaudrey Sue Weskamp on Nov. 8, 1973, she preceded him in death. He married Kellie Kimble on Aug. 7, 2010.

He was a maintenance supervisor at Good Samaritan Society-Decatur County in Oberlin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sue Black; brother, Ron Black; and infant sister, Carla Black.

He is survived by wife, Kellie Black of Oberlin; two sons, Aaron and wife, Shelley of Lawrence, Kansas, and Kyle and wife, Leslie of Pratt, Kansas; three step-sons, Bob and wife, Vanessa Tillman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joey and wife, Cory Gish of Oberlin and Tim of Oberlin; daughter, Teresa and husband, Jared Macke of La Grange, Wyoming; step-daughter, Mirah and husband, Matt Bordoni of Oberlin; two sisters, Dixie and husband Richard Fields of Menlo, Kansas, and Marcia and husband, George of Ryan of Solomon, Kansas; six grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Friday, 2 p.m., at the Oberlin Covenant Church with the Revs. Chris and Sharon Nelson officiating. Interment is in the Oberlin Cemetery.

There is no visitation.
