In 1974, Anita joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a faithful member of the Church throughout the remainder of her life. She was a member of both the Southwest Nebraska Genealogical Society and the Nebraska State Genealogical Society. As an avid family historian, she spent countless hours pursuing information about her ancestors. She volunteered and enjoyed working at her stake's Family History Library. Anita will be remembered for many wonderful qualities. She was a devoted and loving teacher and through her teaching, many lives were touched and changed forever. Other qualities include her sweet spirit, her love for one and all, her compassion and patience with children, her ability to listen, her puzzle skills (logic, crosswords, and jig-saw puzzles), her sense of humor (the door is ajar), her love of animals, her delight in collecting rocking horses, her dedication to family and love of family history, her humble quiet way, her desire to always do what is right, her devotion to God, and her fighting spirit. She fought the good fight and can now rest with her beloved family that passed before her. She will be missed and cherished by all who knew and loved her. "Till we meet again!"
