ARAPAHOE, Nebraska -- June Elaine Tracy, 81, died Thursday (Feb. 17, 2011), at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She was born on June 24, 1929, on the family farm northwest of Arapahoe to Frederick W.E. and Laura E. (Koeteman) Huxoll. She grew up and attended school at St. Matthews Parochial School northwest of Arapahoe. She was confirmed on June 11, 1944, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

She married Clarence C. Tracy on Oct. 28, 1951, at St. Matthew's Church. She worked for BD Manufacturing in Holdrege, Nebraska for more than 20 years.

In 2007, she moved into the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Mission League of Arapahoe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Tracy on Sept. 1, 2002; brothers, Martin and Laurel Huxoll; brothers-in-law, Joe tenBensel, Chester Hilker, Lloyd Golter and Buddy Riepe.

She is survived by her son, Terry Joe and wife, Deanne Tracy of Arapahoe; brothers, Wayne and wife, Judy Huxoll of Cambridge, Nebraska, Charles and wife, Beverly Huxoll, Norman and wife, Dorothy Huxoll, and James and wife, LeAnn Huxoll, all of Holbrook, Nebraska; sisters, Marjorie tenBensel and Violet Hilker, both of Arapahoe, Twyla Golter and Betty Riepe, both of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Isabelle and husband, Alvin Pfeiffer of Arapahoe; sister-in-law, Brenda Huxoll of Cambridge; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Interment is at the Arapahoe Cemetery in Arapahoe.

Viewing and visitation is today until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe and prior to the service at the church.
