George Dike

BELLEVIEW, Missouri -- George Dike, 92, died Wednesday (Feb. 2, 2011).

He was born and raised in McCook, Nebraska. He worked for the water department until his retirement in 1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eliza Dike; first wife, Ruth; daughter, Diane; brothers, Lloyd, Ralph and Wayne; and his sister, Roberta.

He is survived by his wife, Gladene in Belleview; sons, Larry and wife, Linda of Sherman, Texas, Robert and wife, Shirley of McCook; daughter, Ginger and husband, Marvin Schlickting of Lincoln, Nebraska; step-son, Rick of Belleview; step-daughters, Melissa and husband, Gayle and Melissa, all of Belleview; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Monday at Bryson Funeral Home in Pilot Knob, Missouri.

Burial will follow at Lower Indian Creek Cemetery.
