TRENTON, Nebraska -- Pamela June Leahy, 41, died Sunday (Jan. 30, 2011), at her home in Trenton.

She was born June 26, 1969, in Salida, Colorado, the daughter od David L. and Phyllis (Streckley) Lykins. Pam grew up in Leadville, Colorado, where she received her GED. In 1989, she married Tom Bird, and they made their home in Garden City, Kansas.

On Sept. 28, 1991, Pam married John Leahy Jr. in Denver, Colorado. For 18 years, she was maintenance manager for Club Med at Copper Mountain, Colorado. Pam and her husband, John moved to Trenton in 2008, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis.

Pam is survived by her husband, John of Trenton; two daughters, Kayla D. Bird of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and Monique Leahy of Trenton; two sons, David S. Lykins of Leadville, Colorado, and John R. Leahy III of Trenton; granddaughter, Keiyanah A. Lykins; father, Dave L. Lykins of Trenton; brother, Monta Ray Lykins and wife, Samantha of Frisco, Colorado; sister, Donna Bryner of Leadville; niece Krista Bryner; nephews, Brandon Lykins, Matthew Bryner and James Bryner, and relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Thursday, 1 p.m., at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton with Father Val Bartek officiating. Cremation will follow services and inurnment is at Leadville Cemetery in Colorado.

Visitation is Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., at Herrmann Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials may be made in her name and left at the funeral home.
