Galen Carlysle Fisher

BAY CITY, Texas -- Galen Carlysle Fisher was born Sept. 18, 1961, in McCook, Nebraska, to Betty and Richard "Dick" Fisher. He grew up and went to school in McCook.
He joined the U.S. Army and served his country for a year and a half before being given an honorable discharge.
Galen has three beautiful children: Angel, Thelma "Christine" and Galen Jr. "Billy."
He was previously married to Carolyn Counter, Anne Fahrenbruch and Mary Munson.
He enjoyed listening to a variety of music, his favorite was Elvis, collecting items, working with his hands and playing cards. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He was always great with kids.
Galen spent most of his life in McCook. In 2009, he moved to Bay City, where he became an active member in his church, helping with youth as well as other activities. He gained many friends who supported him as he fought his determined battle with cancer, which came to an end on Jan. 25, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jensen; father, Dick Fisher; stepfather, Francis Floro; three sisters-in-law, Vickie Oliver, Juanita Fisher and Rosetta "Susie" Jensen; and niece, Tasha Jensen.
He is survived by his stepfather, Thomas Jensen Sr.; stepmother, Sheila Fisher; four brothers, Richard Fisher, James Fisher, John Jensen and Thomas Jensen Jr.; two sisters, Tamera and Garold Judd; and Judy Green; numerours aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step siblings, and many friends and extended family.
