HOLBROOK, Nebraska -- Lois A. (Sturek) McKenney, 76, formerly of St. Paul and Grand Island, Nebraska died Saturday (Jan. 22, 2011), at The Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Lois was born in Kearney on Jan. 2, 1935, to Warren and Esther (Kuhns) Walters. She retired in 2002 as a monitor technician at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Holbrook; daughter, Judy and husband, Dave Stanczyk of Lincoln, Nebraska; son, Jeff and wife, Deborah Lambert of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous step-children, step-grandchilden and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Thursday, 3 p.m., at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln.Additional services are Friday, 2 p.m., at Holbrook Baptist Church in Holbrook, Nebraska.

There is no visitation. Cremation was chosen.

Private family inurnment is at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska at a later date.
