Kailee Nicole Clapp
McCOOK, Nebraska -- Kailee Nicole Clapp died at the age of 14.
She was born July 2, 1996, in McCook, the daughter of Kelly and Nora (Dale) Clapp. She was a freshman at McCook High School, who enjoyed being with classmates and friends, and playing volleyball in junior high.
She was involved in the Teammates mentoring program for three years. She was active in the youth group, enjoyed dancing, singing, taking pictures, and fishing and camping with her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jeannie Dale; uncle, Tony Dale; and grandfather, Gary Clapp.
She is survived by her parents, Kelly and Nora Clapp; one brother, Nicholas Clapp of McCook; two sisters, Rochelle Sowards of McPherson, Kansas, and Karen Clapp of McCook; grandparents, Janette Clapp of McCook and John Dale of Phillipsburg, Kansas; great-grandmothers, Edith Bishop of Arvada, Colorado, Jean Griffin of Colby, Kansas, and Leona Wolfram of Atwood, Kansas; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the Memorial Auditorium in McCook with Pastor Bruce Lester officiating. Inurnment is at a later date.
Friends may sign her register at Herrmann Funeral Home during business hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
