Arlie Gene Archer

McDONALD, Kansas -- Arlie Gene Archer, 83, died Friday (Jan. 7, 2011), at Rawlins County Hospital in Atwood, Kansas.

He was born June 30, 1927, in Rawlins County, Kansas.

He was a farmer.

He married Delores 'Dee' Wendland.

He is survived by his spouse, Delores 'Dee' Archer of McDonald; son, Alan Archer of McDonald; daughters, Diane 'June' Archer of Los Angeles, California, and Joyce McDaniel of Valley Center, Kansas; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are Thursday, 11 a.m. CST, at the United Methodist Church in St. Francis, Kansas. There is no inurnment scheduled at this time.

There is no visitation as cremation was chosen.

Memorials may be made to Rawlins County Hospital or the Kansas Masonic Cancer Research Institute.
