OBERLIN, Kansas -- Voyle W. Sauvage, 65, died Dec. 2, 2010 at McCook Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska.

He was born in Oberlin on Dec. 22, 1944, to Albert Sauvage and Dorothy (Koehler) Sauvage. He was raised on a farm in Rawlins County. He went to a country school in Decatur County.

He worked in Montana, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Kansas while working in the oil fields and for Owen Corning Company. He returned to Oberlin and started a lawn care business.

He was member of the Sons of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife, Frannie Nothdurft of Oberlin; stepson, Dennis and wife, Teresa Ross of Anaheim, California; daughters, Patricia and husband, Mark Harwood of Pinehaven, Wyoming and Rosemarie and husband, Ron Rye of Gillette, Wyoming; brothers, Virgil Sauvage of Bakersfield, California and Verl Sauvage of Oberlin; and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Friday, 11 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with Mr. Dennis Brown officiating. Burial is in Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday at Pauls Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. with the family present from 7-8 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. until the service.
