OBERLIN, Kansas -- Mickeal L. Quakenbush, 26, died Wednesday (Nov. 10, 2010), In Oberlin.

He was born Jan. 3, 1984, in Hays, Kansas, to Donald C. Quakenbush and Donna M. Meitl. He was raised in the Belleville, Norton, and Wichita, Kansas areas.

He was a cashier at Love's Convenience Store in Colby and was living in Oberlin at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Donna and Robert Boswell; and siblings, Aaron Phillips and Kristina Quakenbush.

He is survived by his father, Donald of Seguin, Kansas; brothers, Terry and wife, Kindra Quakenbush of Wichita, Dwayne Quakenbush of Oberlin, and Nick Phillips of Norton; sisters, Debby Phillips of Norton and Tory Arnce of Manhattan, Kansas; and his grandmothers, Evelyn Meitl of Oberlin, and Cecelia Ottley of Hoxie, Kansas.

Funeral services are Saturday, 10 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with John Paulson officiating. Interment is Saturday, 3 p.m., at the Belleville Cemetery in Belleville.
