OBERLIN, Kansas -- Mary C. Uehlin-Kolsky, 83, died Saturday (Nov. 6, 2010), at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
She was born Dec. 18, 1926, in rural Dresden, Kansas, to Lloyd and Katherine (Taylor) Fortin. She was raised on a farm near Dresden. She attended Jackson School and Decatur Community High School; graduating in 1946.
She married Alvin Uehlin, and then Ira Kolsky. She was a farm wife and homemaker. She lived on a farm in Roosevelt Township, Kansas before moving to Oberlin in 1977.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Katherine; and first husband, Alvin.
She is survived by her second husband, Ira of Oberlin; sons Ronald and wife, Patti Uehlin of rural Danbury, Nebraska, and Dannye Uehlin of rural Oberlin; sisters, Norine Schweitzberger of Oberlin, and Loy and husband, Clint Corder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services are Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Linda Willey officiating. Interment is in the Oberlin Cemetery.
