BEAVER CITY, Nebraska -- Lee Wilmot, 57, died Tuesday (Nov. 2, 2010), at his home in Beaver City.
He was born Feb. 24, 1953, in McCook, Nebraska to Merlin and Mary (McConnell) Wilmot. He grew up in the Wilsonville, Nebraska area. He graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1971.
He married Janet Sue Shreve on Feb. 23, 1980, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
He started trucking at an early age and continued until his health wouldn't allow him to continue in November of 2008.
He continued to truck from the Wilsonville area until they moved to Beaver City, Nebraska in 1995 and resided there until his death.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church at Beaver City, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Janet of Beaver City; daughter, AmberLee Wilmot of Beaver City; two brothers, Wesley Wilmot and his wife, Kathy of Beaver City, and Rex Wilmot of Lebanon, Nebraska; and two grandaughters.
Funeral services are Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Baptist-Christian Church in Wilsonville with the Rev. Keith Theobald, officiating. Burial will follow at Wilsonville Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation is Friday, 1-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, and Saturday prior to services at the church in Wilsonville.
