McCOOK, Nebraska -- Charollette Louise Matson, 66, died on Wednesday (Oct. 20, 2010), at Community Hospital in McCook.

She was born Nov. 10, 1943, to Donald and Mildred (Carfield) Decker in Curtis, Nebraska. She attended McCook Public Schools.

Charollette married Raymond J. Matson, Sr. on Nov. 15, 1961 in McCook.

She was a member of the Eagles Club. Charollette enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, board games, bingo and collecting porcelain dolls. She especially liked taking care of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Mildred Carfield; husband, Raymond Matson Sr.; and sister, Wilma Jane Hayden.

She is survived by her children, Raymond Matson Jr. and wife, Karen, Laura Gidcumb and husband, Allen, Max Matson, and Tim Matson; sister, Alice Norman and husband, Dion; grandchildren, Rod, Ryan, Cassie, Dawn, John, Amanda, Krista, Weston, and Marissa; step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Brionna, Nicolas and Jade.

Memorials may be given in her name to the charity of one's choice.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating with burial to follow.
