OBERLIN, Kansas -- Ronald L. Schwisow, 57, died Thursday (Oct. 7, 2010), at Decatur County Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1952, in Geneva, Nebraska, to Wilfred and Bertha (Wagner) Schwisow. He was raised in eastern Nebraska and Kansas. He attended Byron and Palisade, Nebraska and Oberlin, Kansas. He graduated from high school in 1971.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred.

He is survived by his mother, Bertha of Oberlin; and brother, Larry Schwisow of Hutchinson, Kansas.

Funeral services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Faith Lutheran Church in Oberlin, with the Rev. Charlotte Strecker-Baseler. Interment is in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Memorials can be left to the American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association.
