Viola Louise Bischoff

WAUNETA, Nebraska -- Viola Louise Bischoff, 74, died Thursday (Sept. 23, 2010), in Seward, Nebraska.
She was born July 20, 1936, in Haxtun, Colorado, to Lawrence "Pate" and Irene (Roberts) Milner. She attended Prairie Gem Grade School, Chase County High School in Imperial, Nebraska, and Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.
During high school she worked at Einspahr Drug Store in Imperial, where she met Dale Bischoff.
They were united in marriage on Aug. 7, 1956, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of rural Wauneta. The couple lived in Seaside, California, and Chinon, France, in their first years of marriage. In 1958 the couple moved back to Wauneta where she became an accountant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Charles and Ron Milner.
She is survived by her husband, Dale of Wauneta; two daughters, Nancy Thalken and husband, Ladean of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Bev Kahler and husband, Bryan of Lincoln; son, Bill Bischoff and wife, Rhonda of Wauneta; sister, Virginia Ridlen and husband, Carl of Fairview, Tennessee; three brothers, Dean Milner and wife, Dorothy of Wauneta, Delmer Milner and wife, Wilma of Champion, Nebraska, and Leonard Milner and wife, Effie of San Jose, California; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. (MST), at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wauneta with the Rev. Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.
Visitation is today until 6 p.m. (MST) at Liewer Funeral Home of Wauneta. The casket will be closed at services.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
