Dusty Tirrill, a lineman for McCook Public Power District/REA, works on power lines dangling from a power pole snapped in half when an Ideal linen truck struck it about 6:30 a.m., today, approximately 8 1/2 miles north of McCook, Nebraska, on U.S. Highway 83. No one was injured in the early-morning accident investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol. An MPPD crew cut power to the pole, set a new pole and restored power. Assisting on the accident scene were personnel from the Red Willow Western Rural Fire Department. More information will be released when the Patrol investigation is complete.
