PETERSBURG, Nebraska -- Kristine Oline Henn, 92, died Wednesday (July 28, 2010) at the Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, Nebraska.

She was born on Aug. 17, 1917, to Ivar and Anna (Dyb) Week, northwest of Newman Grove, Nebraska. She received her elementary education at rural schools near Newman Grove and Petersburg, and graduated from Petersburg High School in 1935.

On May 12, 1935, she was united in marriage to Marcellus "Sal" Henn at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville, Nebraska. She was also baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church.

In 1936, the couple moved to Los Angeles, California. They returned to Petersburg in 1938. They lived there for two years then moved to Pilger, Nebraska. The couple then moved to a farm near Raeville where they lived for 22 years until moving to Petersburg in 1967.

She volunteered at the Petersburg Library and worked at the Petersburg Lockers for many years. In December 2009, she moved to The Willows Assisted Living in Neligh.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Newman Grove, St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, Raeville Christian Mothers, and the St. John's Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sal; son, Norman Henn; three brothers, Inar, Norman, and Novar Week; two sisters, Alma Lang and Johanna Milan.

She is survived by eight children, Duane L. and wife, Marguerite of McCook, Marilyn J. Schrad and husband, David of Petersburg, Deanna R. Stokes and husband, Walter of Petersburg, Gerald L. and wife, Mary Kay of Elgin, Nebraska, Shirley M. Stuhr and husband, Sylvester of Petersburg, Richard M. Henn and wife, Veronica of Omaha, Nebraska, Beverly E. Seier and husband, Michael of Neligh, and Jolene Daniels and husband, Leslie of Petersburg; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg with the Rev. Stan Schmit officiating. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery in Raeville.

Visitation is Friday from 5-7:30 p.m. with the wake service at the church to begin at 7:30 p.m.
