Harold H. Gidmond

INDIANOLA, Nebraska -- Harold H. Gidmond, 80, died Friday (July 23, 2010) at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

He was born north of Indianola, Nebraska on Dec. 28, 1929, to Gustabus Hinton and Annie Malissa Gidmond. He worked on the family farm for many years. He was employed by Lord's of Indianola for more than 40 years as a carpet mechanic.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy E. Unger on June 5, 1960.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Dorothy, in January 1981.

He is survived by his brother, Francis Gidmond of Grand Island; two brothers-in-law, Ed Unger of McCook, and John Unger of Stratton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Indianola with the Rev. Sherry Sklen officiating.
