Erna E. Stuver
LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Erna E. Stuver (Kalinski), 85, of Lincoln, died June 19, 2010.
She was born in Rhineland, Germany.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the American Lung Association and the Lancaster County Election Commission. She was also a teachers aide and a substitute at the Lincoln Public Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stuver; parents, Emma and John Kalinski; sisters, Addie Ballou and Babs Olson; and brother, Hans.
She is survived by her son, Robert Stuver of Hastings; daughters, Linda Tracy of Lincoln, Susan and husband, Robert Peterson of Germany, and Donne and husband, Glen Martin of Lincoln; brothers, Adolph Kalinski of Puallyup, Washington, Joe Kalinski of McCook, and John Kalinski of Severance, Colorado; sisters, Ruth McChesney of Arvada, Colorado, and Rose Sitzman of Seward; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are Friday, 10 a.m., at Wyuka Cemetery followed by memorial services, 11 a.m., at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home in Lincoln. The Rev. Luke Schnake is officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations in her name to Nebraska Children's Home Society, 4939 South 118th Street, Omaha, NE, 68137.
